| Lynn Arnold is the head of the Educational Remediation Department.
This department provides a wide range of services regarding learning issues.
Though we can provide tutoring assistance, many learning issues are unsuccessful
in a traditional tutoring setting. Tutoring is offered to that student
who has a working knowledge of the material, but has gaps that need to
be filled. Once those gaps are filled, the student is able to continue,
with success, in that particular subject.
A learning problem is one where traditional tutoring fails to get results.
Often times educational testing is required to determine the specific learning
issue. Once this is identified, a remedial program can be developed.
Learning issues are individual and a one program fits all approach does
not work. We look at the individual needs of the person and develop
a plan with goals utilizing proven methods to remediate specific learning
problems. Our open door policy educates parents on the programs being
used. By observing our sessions, this allows for greater under-standing
and support at home with new learned skills.
Learning issues are not limited to children. We have had success
in working with individuals of all ages and welcome discussions with any-body
who has difficulty with any of the issues outlined.
Communication is very important, and one of the ways we accomplish this
is to have regular progress meetings. We provide you with reports
including supporting data for you to mark the gains you or your child are
making in the specific educational plan.
Our programs are very effect- tive for the student who is looking for
that “edge” in their educational journey. Our proven programs can
help a student to learn how to work smarter, not harder.
