Mrs. Braccia understands school systems, effective teaching and successful learning.  She uses her specialized training and skills in psychology, child development and education to team with educators, parents, and other health professionals to ensure that every person, no matter their age, learns in a safe, healthy and supportive environment. 

Because she recognizes that the needs of each client are unique, Alicia Braccia tailors recommendations and her services to each individual situation.

School Psychology Services Include:

Testing for: 

  • Gifted
  • Learning Disabilities including Dyslexia 
  • LSAT, ACT, SAT, GRE Testing Accommodations
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Learning Aptitudes 
  • Achievement 
  • Behavioral and emotional development
Prevention 
  • Identify potential learning difficulties 
  • Help to devise and recommend programs for children at risk of failure 
  • Provide parents, the child and teachers with the skills to cope with learning differences and/or disruptive behavior
Intervention 
  • Work directly with the children and their families 
  • Help solve conflicts and problems in learning and adjustment 
  • Provide counseling for individuals and groups to help individuals function more effectively within the school environment 
  • Provide individual and group social skills training and parent education; as well as behavior management and other strategies 
  • Work as an advocate with the families and the schools to provide an optimal learning environment. 
Consultation and Training
  • Provide training, workshops and seminars 
  • Represent the child's best interest during school meetings, IEP meetings, etc.
