Alicia Braccia MA, CAS, ABSNP - Florida Licensed School Psychologist. She received her Masters Degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Psychology at Fairfield University, in Connecticut. She has a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology from Texas Women’s University. In addition to administrating the Center, her specialization is the assessment and intervention of ADHD, LD, Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Aspergers Syndrome, and Nonverbal Learning Disabilities. She is also the Executive Director and Founder of Providence Academy.
Tracie Schwarz, Ed.S. is a Florida Licensed School Psychologist who received her Education Specialist degree in School Psychology at The University of Central Florida. Tracie is also a certified Neurofeedback Technician. She provides psychoeducational testing, remediation, and neurofeedback for her clients. She specializes in working with children with learning disabilities, Dyslexia, ADHD, and behavioral issues. Tracie is also the Guidance Counselor at Lake Mary Montessori.
Jennifer Foor M.Ed. Exceptional Education Teacher Jennifer Foor M.Ed. Exceptional Education Teacher Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Varying Exceptionalities from Florida Atlantic University. Jennifer has training in the following programs: Learning Strategies, the Lindamood-Bell LiPS and Visualizing/Verbalizing programs, the Barton Reading and Spelling System, Brain Integration Technique, the Wilson Reading Program and the Language! Program. Jennifer has combined her classroom teaching experience and specific program training to provide one-on-one remediation for students and guide parents in choosing the appropriate programs to meet their child’s needs.
Josh Grover MHC is a Mental Health Counselor intern that works with adolescent boys and families. He specializes in the following areas: Anger Management, Marital Therapy , ADD/ADHD, Identity Issues, Addiction, Family Therapy, Anxiety, Grief/Loss, Abuse.
Josh has a particular passion for working with boys and men who lack a solid sense of self and personal direction. In addition to his work with the male population, Josh has a strong desire to see marriages flourish and enjoys working with those in need of marital counseling. Josh uses a variety of counseling methods specifically tailored to suit each individual client’s needs, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gestalt and Object Relations Therapy.
Jennifer K. Oelfke, MA, CCC-Speech Language Pathologist has been working with clients who have various communication difficulties including learning disabilities, language disorders, articulation, oral motor weakness, reading and writing disorders, and phonemic/phonological awareness deficits. Her passion is not only helping children communicate and to succeed in school, but also helping families support their child's skills. Jennifer is certified and trained in Beckman Oral Motor Assessment & Intervention (Beckman, 2000), the Hanen Program It Takes Two To Talk (R) and Interactive Metronome (R)
Carol Grande OTR/L graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in occupational therapy. She has since worked in Central Florida and Boston MA for over 13 years. Carol has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including schools, specialized sensory integration clinics, hospitals, and homes. She has enjoyed working with children with a variety of developmental, neurological, psychological, physical, and learning disabilities.
Valerie A. Lovegreen, M.A., CCC-Speech Language Pathologist has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College and a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida. Valerie has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for the past 22 years and has specialized in the areas of language, stuttering, voice and articulation. She has received training in the Lindamood processes, Wilson Reading, Conscious Discipline, Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment, Balametrics, Fast Forword, Interactive Metronome, and It Takes Two to Talk. Valerie’s passion is interacting with children and parents to improve the communication interactions they have in their life experiences!
Linda Chase O/TRL has been a dedicated Occupational Therapist for over 17 years. She earned a degree in Rehabilitation Education from Penn State University and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia. Linda has experience in treating children with Sensory Processing Disorders and neurological conditions, as well as a variety of developmental delays and orthopedic diagnoses. Her extensive continuing education combined with her level of experience enables her to provide the highest quality of care to children and their families.
Julie Mejia EdS. , Licensed School Psychologist. Julie has over 10 years experience working with children and families within public schools, private practice and clinical/mental health settings. She has training and experience with providing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, IEP advocacy, Response to Intervention Program, counseling, clinical triage, and crisis intervention. Julie works with individual students, families and school personnel to address a broad spectrum of exceptionalities, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, Cognitive Disorders, Developmental Delay, Deaf/Hearing Impaired Learners and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders. She has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams. Julie provides a variety of training modules for teachers from grades K through 8. In addition, Julie has nonclinical experience with development of evaluation instruments and field testing, for private firms and Harcourt Corp. Her current area of interest and targeted professional growth is in the area of Neuropsychology. She has completed coursework and training in Neurofeedback.
Nicole T. Spiering, M.A., Marriage and Family Therapist, has her undergraduate degree in psychology from University of Florida and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in California. Nicole works with family systems, providing individual mental health counseling, parent support and education, early intervention services and behavior intervention. Nicole is passionate about working with families and young children and has a special interest in children with Autism and other developmental delays.
Gretchen Williams, LMHC. Gretchen Williams is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 5 years of experience as a therapist working with children, adolescents and families. She employs cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavior therapy, family therapy, play, and the arts (art, music, writing) as therapeutic tools. She especially enjoys using creative means to build relationships with clients and help them move toward healing and success in life. Gretchen has a great deal of experience working with parents and teachers in a consultation role and can provide presentations on variety of topics. She works with students not only individually but in groups, addressing such issues as social skills, anger management, and stress management. She is employed part-time at the Center and spends the rest of her week as a school counselor working with high school students. Gretchen is also a contributing writer on mental health issues for a teen magazine and is a member of the American Counseling Association as well as the International Association for Expressive Arts Therapists.
Johnathan Lein MSW has been a Social Worker and therapist for over 20 years. He has primarily practiced in the medical, educational and private therapy fields. His past work includes forensic consulting and profiling for law enforcement, trauma and PTSD therapy for hospitals, sexual abuse offender and victim treatment, school social work and guidance counseling, and adult, adolescent, child, relationship and family therapy. He not only works as a counselor for the Center, but is also the head of the guidance department for Providence Academy.
Megan Huntt – Educational Remediation Specialist, has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She has worked for 7 years as an Education Specialist at a private clinic, including CHLA. She also is obtaining her teaching certificate in Elementary Education. She currently is a teacher at Providence Academy. She has received training in Lindamood-Bell programs, including L.I.P.S., Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Talkies, Balametrics, Fast Forword, Interactive Metronome, Processing and Cognitive Enhancement and Wilson Reading.
Kristine Eckhardt is our East Orlando Office Manager. Kristine is the friendly face when clients walk in the door and she conducts all initial intakes, as well as coordinates insurance for clients.
Susan Garay is our South West Office Manager. Susan is the friendly face when clients walk in the door. She will conduct initial intakes and will answer questions about the Center’s services. Susan loves working with children and the arts and helps with fundraising efforts. She also works with the students and teachers at Providence Academy and utilizes her talents in theater, music and languages.
